Church Connection
Convoy of Hope has become the trusted partner of thousands of congregations, businesses, agencies, and compassion groups around the world. It is through this partnership that workers are mobilized and equipped to help hurting people at their most desperate point of need.
In addition, Convoy of Hope enables congregations to offer hope to the poor and suffering. At a fraction of the cost, Convoy of Hope can deliver food, water and supplies to people in need.
How churches can get involved:
The WorldHope Project - For $6,000 a congregation can partner with Convoy of Hope by sponsoring one or more shipping containers full of food and supplies (semi-truck load) to a location where Convoy of Hope is working strategically to help those in need. On average each container has 20-tons of supplies and has the wholesale value of $25,000 (retail over $60K). Donors can leverage their gifts many times over.
One Day to Feed the World - Pastors have discovered an easy way to sponsor containers and other projects through Convoy’s One Day to Feed the World. This campaign will assist in developing good stewardship principles in the church, because it teaches tithing and missions giving, as well as a heart of compassion for those who need a demonstration of the love of God.
Volunteer Teams - Convoy relies heavily on the volunteer network provided by churches that deploy in times of disaster or community outreaches both internationally and domestically.
Resources - Convoy has identified and developed a wide variety of resources to assist local congregations in meeting the needs of their own community.
