On March 25, 2008 the Convoy of Hope and 88.3 The Wind, BOTT Radio Network, KWFC Radio, and University Plaza Convention Center hosted a Faith-Based Preparedness Symposium as part of the O’Reilly Auto Parts & KSPR HOPE Begins Here campaign presented by KTTS Radio (Helping Others Prepare for Emergencies).

“This campaign is a community-wide disaster preparedness initiative and will build sector and community resiliency that benefits children, senior citizens, families, and single adults from all walks of life,” according to Rob Clay, Associate Director of U.S. Disaster Response for Convoy of Hope. “Helping Others Prepare for Emergencies begins in each home, school, business, and place of worship.”
The Faith-Based Preparedness Symposium was the first of three HOPE Begins Here preparedness events. A Business Preparedness Seminar was held on April 23, 2008 and Family Preparedness Festival on May 3, 2008.
