$200 million mark surpassed

Convoy of Hope recently reached a historic milestone after it passed the $200 million mark worth of food, water and supplies distributed to those in need through its international feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resourcing.

“Since 1994 we’ve been able to serve more than 35 million poor and suffering people throughout the world,” says Jeff Nene, senior director — communications and technology. “Our friends and generous corporate sponsors have helped make that possible.”

Each year, corporations donate tens of millions of dollars in gifts-in-kind to Convoy of Hope, which enables the organization to translate every unrestricted $1 contribution to into $7 worth of goods.

“This year alone, our food and supplies have made it into the hands of hungry children, single moms and victims of major disasters like the earthquake in Haiti this past January,” says Nene. “Convoy of Hope is honored to be the bridge between our compassionate friends and those in dire need.”
