Friends of Convoy of Hope can help promote the organization in a big way this week by taking part in USA TODAY’s “#AmericaWants” Twitter hashtag campaign.
“The charity with the most #AmericaWants tweets and retweets will receive a full-color, full-page advertisement in USA TODAY,” says Jason Inman, New Media and Production Coordinator. “That’s worth about $200,000 and the exposure for Convoy of Hope would be invaluable.”
The contest starts on April 13 and ends April 16. Each tweet must include “#AmericaWants (insert full name of charity) to get a full-page ad in USA TODAY.” Please note that the exact wording within the quotes along with the full name of the charity (Convoy of Hope) must be used.
USA TODAY has a readership of nearly 2 million people. If each of those readers were exposed to a Convoy of Hope advertisement and inspired to donate at least $10, the outcome could equal 100,000,000 meals for hungry children in countries such as Haiti, Kenya, El Salvador and the Philippines.
“By simply investing a few seconds of their time, anyone can help Convoy of Hope be the charity selected to get the free full-page ad in USA TODAY,” says Inman. “We need as many people as possible to participate to help us win.”
