Juan Bautista was like many disabled people in developing countries - he relied on others to move him because his body couldn’t.
But that changed recently when Convoy of Hope delivered a wheelchair to the 16-year-old Nicaraguan.
“I am thankful to the Lord and also Convoy of Hope for the blessing my son received,” said his mother. “My son’s life and mine have been blessed.”
The blessing Juan’s mother speaks of was birthed in a partnership that Convoy of Hope established with Free Wheelchair Mission a few years ago.
“The wheelchairs are high credibility items in many of the countries we work in,” says Ray Beahm, an international project director at Convoy of Hope. “It’s been a good partnership and has helped many people.”
Since the partnership began Convoy of Hope has distributed more than 1,000 chairs.
