Urgent Message from Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Response Team
The crisis in Japan continues to escalate. The inclement weather is hampering rescue efforts, government officials are in a desperate fight to keep a nuclear meltdown from happening, and tens of thousands of families are now homeless since the earthquake and tsunami struck.
One headline reads, “There is no hope!”
Countless families in Japan may indeed feel that way. But Convoy of Hope is steadfast in it’s objective to bring help and hope to desperate people. Right now, Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Response team is working around the clock to deliver much needed food, water and emergency supplies to hurting families in Japan.
In the above video Kary Kingsland, vice president of Global Initiatives, shares how Convoy of Hope is responding to the disaster and explains the organization’s long-term strategy for helping the people of Japan.
