Jewelry sales helping Haiti

When Karyse Gocoul first made jewelry with her friends at her eighth birthday party, she had no idea her hobby would one day raise hundreds of dollars to help impoverished children. But on a recent Sunday, Gocoul sold her earrings between services at her church to raise $375 for Convoy of Hope to help children in Haiti.

Partner with Convoy of Hope today by giving online.

“At first I would make earrings to give as gifts but then I started to sell them to raise money for children in Africa and Haiti,” says Karyse, 10, noting she will continue to make earrings to raise money for needy children.

Steven Milazzo, senior pastor of Karyse’s church, appreciates her enthusiastic giving. “Karyse has inspired many people in my congregation to live beyond themselves through simple acts of kindness and love,” he says.
