One Bag of Groceries Can Make All the Difference
Whether you live in the inner city of America, in a small rural community, or halfway around the world, a simple act of kindness can surpass all language and cultural boundaries to show genuine Christian love. And, no matter what the situation, a helping hand can make all the difference!
Recently, I heard the story of a man who attended a Convoy of Hope outreach. He was addicted to drugs, dependent on the government, and living on the edge of despair. His marriage and family were also in jeopardy.
But he came to a Convoy — that day was the beginning of a new life for the man and his family. The volunteers demonstrated their love for him by giving him groceries and many other services. They also told him that God loved him.
Within months he had left the welfare rolls, found a job, and enrolled in school. He also became a member of a local church that helped him turn his life around.

I’ve seen it happen thousands of times across America and around the world. I’ve seen mothers, with children hanging on to them, break down and cry when we handed them groceries.
I’ve seen the eyes of parents well up with tears when their child was given a free haircut or dental care. And I’ve seen families wait patiently to be examined by a doctor at a Convoy outreach.
The gratitude I’ve felt from these families has made me cry.
The need is so great. But with your generosity, and God’s help, we’re continuing to give people hope and new beginnings.
