Relief Projects

Convoy of Hope is actively engaged in bringing relief and hope to the hurting families and individuals around the world.  You can make a huge difference in the lives of these individuals and families who are in desperate need of some of the basic necessities of life (food, shelter, hygiene items, school supplies and clean drinking water).  By partnering with Convoy of Hope and participating in one of the following ways, you will be directly touching and changing lives.

Hygiene Kits

At Convoy of Hope, we seek to restore dignity and hope to families and individuals who are facing their greatest challenges in life.  We do this by providing hygiene kits that you can assemble and ship to Convoy of Hope.  An outline showing how to assemble the kits can be found here.  Once you have your hygiene kits assembled, please ship them to Convoy of Hope in an appropriately sized box or container labeled “Hygiene Kits” A downloadable PDF with assembly and shipping guidelines for the hygiene kits is available here. If you are not interested in assembling kits you may choose to send the money needed to purchase and assemble the products at our warehouse for a cost of $5 per kit.
Please note that if you choose to make hygiene kits, it is very important that only the size of the items listed be placed into each of the gallon-sized bags.  It is equally important that only the items listed for the hygiene kits be placed into the zippered bag.

Before collecting or sending any hygiene kits, please contact our logistics department at 417-823-8998 to confirm that we are currently needing kits. We cannot guarantee delivery to a specific country due to some countries having restrictions on the products they will accept. We are not currently accepting kits for Japan.

Fundraising Ideas for Schools

Your school or class can raise funds that will help Convoy of Hope bring life changing supplies such as food, water, cleaning supplies, and water filters to the people around the world.  While the donation of specific food products sounds appealing to many, Convoy of Hope has the capacity to leverage $1 into $7 worth of food and products through our corporate partnerships.  Convoy of Hope has received the highest endorsement from the leading charity ranking organization (http://www.charitynavigator.org).

Here are a couple fundraising ideas:

Coin drives are a great way for classes to raise funds and are relatively easy to manage.

Selling specially labeled bottles of water at school events.  You can have students design and print the labels so people know where their donations are going.

Schools across the country have held pancake breakfasts, hosted “hat days” where students paid to wear their favorite hats to school, held craft sales, bake sales, hosted benefit concerts, dances and more.

Financial contributions can be mailed directly to: Convoy of Hope, 330 South Patterson Ave, Springfield, MO 65802.  You can also make a secure online donation.

Occasionally we receive more contributions for a given project than can be wisely applied to that project.  When that happens, we use these funds and products to meet similar pressing needs.
