More than 1 Billion people are without safe drinking water worldwide and a child dies every 15 seconds from water-related diseases. This is an International crisis much bigger than any Tsunami or Hurricane could ever be.
Convoy of Hope is working with and through our network of missionaries and representatives in many countries to implement solutions to this world water crisis. We are changing the lives of families and children every time we improve their water situation.
Water filtration programs
We can save lives when we install a bio-sand water filtration unit. Each unit provides enough water for an entire family to have safe water every day. And, since we make the filters using local materials (sand, rock, etc...), there are no filters to change and no upkeep expense to the family. Lives are being saved every day with these filters.

Water drilling programs
In many third world countries, water wells are inadequate. So many of them are in disrepair or have dried up. In many African countries, local drilling equipment simply won’t go deep enough to find good supplies of fresh water.
Convoy of Hope has been drilling wells in parts of India and Africa. These wells impact entire communities and allow our missionary contacts to initiate many other important programs. In many cases, safe water is the first step to transforming lives.
