“A Shelter from the Storm” Concert to Benefit Convoy of Hope
Springfield, Mo. - A group of local residents are joining together to bring the community “A Shelter from the Storm” Benefit Concert and Live Auction on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 at Remington’s in Springfield, Missouri. The primary beneficiary will be Convoy of Hope, which in response to the great area-wide need following the January 12 ice storm, provided more than 300,000 pounds of its own relief product to victims throughout southwest Missouri. Not since Hurricane Katrina have they provided a relief effort of this magnitude.
Event organizers are excited about the talented lineup, featuring both national and local Christian contemporary musicians Caleb Rowden, The Justin Long Band, Jill Parr, Air5, and Jamie Koppang.
“We’re thrilled that these performers have graciously offered their time to help Southwest Missouri,” says Event Organizer Jo Anna Price. “Community and compassion mean a lot to them and they obviously want to make a difference.”
