America’s Incredible Pizza Company Joins the HopeWalk
Springfield, Mo. - America’s Incredible Pizza Company, a restaurant chain based in Tulsa, Okla., is partnering with Convoy of Hope for HopeWalk Africa, an effort to bring attention to desperate needs across Africa.
“Our company was founded on the idea of being profitable for the expressed purpose of giving to missions,” said Rick Barsness, founder and owner of America’s Incredible Pizza Company. “One of the things that initially attracted us to Convoy of Hope was their ability to deliver on what they said they will do.”
Convoy of Hope is an internationally known, faith-based compassion agency that provides food, clean water, economic development and shelter for people in need throughout the world.
In late May, individuals, corporations and ministries will join Hal Donaldson, founder and president of Convoy of Hope, on a walk through Kenya’s Mathare Valley. Barsness said his company’s involvement in HopeWalk has given him an unprecedented opportunity to boost his employees’ morale.
“This kind of partnership helps us create a healthy environment for our employees as we model our values before them,” he said. “We are teaching them the importance of giving out of their abundance, together with other elements of good character, integrity, and a wholesome work ethic. I believe every company should provide their employees such an opportunity.”
