Bullseye Convenience Store Donates 1¢ of Every Gallon of Gas Purchased
By donating 1¢ for every gallon of gas purchased between September 7 and October 6, 2005, Bullseye Convenience Stores have raised $10,588.26 to go towards Convoy of Hope’s Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
Bullseye President and owner, Paul Cox says, “I want to thank our patrons for helping us to support Convoy of Hope’s Hurricane Katrina relief efforts; we encourage others to help support the organization’s efforts around the world.” Cox also donated four truckloads of bottled water.
The 1,058,826 gallons of gas were sold at participating Bullseye stations and convenience stores, including: Pittsburg, Preston, Urbana, Wheatland, and Weaubleau (owned by Derrick and Shannan Underwood, Underwood Marketing, LLC); Laurie (owned by Jason Edge, Edge Enterprises, LLC); Calhoun and Lincoln (owned by Terry & Deanna Kirk, 4K Enterprises, LLC); Collins (owned by Leland and Gayla Smith, Smittys); and Nixa and Ozark (owned by Paul and Ida Cox, Cox Oil Company, Inc.)
Springfield, Missouri based Convoy of Hope delivered more than 22 million pounds of relief and cleaning supplies and other comfort items to the Gulf following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The organization is continuing its ongoing disaster relief efforts around the world.
