Convoy of Hope Distributes Relief Supplies in Bolivar
Springfield, Mo. - Springfield-based Convoy of Hope will distribute another 17,000 lbs. of food and water to victims of last weekend’s ice storm in Bolivar. Beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, First Assembly of God in Bolivar, 1320 S. Springfield Road, will distribute water, cereal, soup, Power Ade, chips, apple juice, candy and snack foods.
With this, the organization will have distributed more than 193,000 lbs. of its own supplies of nonperishable food, water and personal hygiene kits to those in need as a result of the recent brutal weather.
Convoy of Hope also continues to receive, stage and distribute supplies for the National Guard, coordinating 128,450 lbs. on behalf of the Springfield/Greene County EOC.
Convoy of Hope is committed to resourcing shelters, EOCs and Points of Distribution (PODs) throughout the region during this second weekend of frozen precipitation.
