Convoy of Hope Responds to Midwest Flooding
For Immediate Release:
Springfield, Mo. — Convoy of Hope’s U.S. Disaster Response Team has been monitoring flooding throughout the Midwest this week, and left for Winona, Minnesota early this morning. En route is a semi-truck loaded with relief and recovery supplies (water, PowerAde, bleach, trash bags and paper towels), a live-aboard Mobile Command Center, and a scout truck. Working with local partners there, the team will assess flooding damage in communities surrounding Winona.
The US Disaster team continues to monitor flooding in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. The rain continues to fall in many areas with the full extent of damage still unknown, making a response effort premature at this time.
