It’s not too late to Register for HopeWalk Africa Convoy of Hope offers real hope to real people
Springfield, Mo. - There is still time to join HopeWalk Africa. This journey through Kenya’s Mathare Valley, home to180,000 people, promises to expand participant’s worldviews and widen their eyes.
From May 24-31 corporate executives and ministry leaders from throughout the nation will join Hal Donaldson, founder and president of Convoy of Hope, as he walks through the Mathare Valley, commonly known as “one of the neediest places on earth.”
Walkers will be captivated by the desperate realities of other human beings as they are immersed in poverty, seeing children lapping water out of sewage-filled streams and eating food off of garbage heaps. They will be equally inspired as they see how lives can be transformed when people come together and address the needs of the impoverished.
Though there is little hope of a better life for residents of Mathare Valley, the efforts of national church leaders, Assemblies of God missionaries and Convoy of Hope have brought positive change to the area including: feeding programs, educational and small-business opportunities, orphanages, clean-water programs and health clinics.
Those interested in experiencing HopeWalk Africa should contact HopeWalk prior to February 16. To learn more, visit HopeWalkAfrica.org or call 877-891-HOPE (4673).
