Mercy Celebrates 125 Years of Service With Convoy of Hope

Mercy Springfield Communities is sponsoring Hands of Hope, Convoy of Hope’s weekly volunteer opportunity for the month of October. Hundreds of volunteers are assisting with various projects to help Convoy’s work all over the world.

“As Mercy celebrates our 125th year of service to the Ozarks, we encouraged our co-workers to get out into the community and return our blessings by volunteering,” says Julie Jones, executive director of Community Relations for Mercy. “We’re so proud to sponsor Hands of Hope making it easy for people to come give a few hours to a great organization.”

According to Jones, Convoy of Hope is just one of the many locations where Mercy co-workers have given their time this year.

“We are extremely grateful for Mercy’s partnership,” says Hal Donaldson, president of Convoy of Hope. “We are only able to give hope to the impoverished and suffering throughout the world because of great partners like Mercy and their employees who give of their time.”
