We often get so caught up in our everyday routines, that we become too comfortable in life. And sometimes it is a simple act of kindness that pulls us off our routine to help someone else. You might have to go out of your way, change your schedule, miss an appointment or even give something up — but giving comfort to someone will be a just reward. We’re thankful for our many supporters and partners who go out of their comfort zone everyday to help us comfort the impoverished around the world.
Nelson Mandela, who’s known for ushering in the end to apartheid in South Africa, spent 27 years in prison for fighting against freedom. After spending the bulk of his life behind bars, Mandela became President of the country he was imprisoned by — but not before he finished college 24 years ago today (May 17.) Just a few years ago, it may have seemed impossible that we would be feeding more than 125,000 kids in nine countries. But it wasn’t impossible and like Mandela, we’re on a mission to change lives.
What are you facing that seems impossible?
