Staying in Moore, Oklahoma: One Year Later

Our Disaster Services team is continuing recovery efforts in Moore, Oklahoma, as we recognize the one-year anniversary of the tornado that changed the community forever.

Three homes are currently being rebuilt with the help of our partner Kingdom Home Builders and an additional six modular homes are being provided to storm survivors through our partner Solitaire Homes.

“We’re still here because we really wanted to invest in Moore and help people put their lives back together in the community they call home,” says Karen Benson, Disaster Services Recovery Director. “It not only lifts up the lives of these families, but also helps boost the local economy at a time when it is needed most.”

Forty-five repair and replacement projects have been completed in Moore in the years since the storm and more home rebuilds are being planned for the coming months.
