Frequently Asked Questions
Convoy of Hope does not request a fee for speaking events, but honorariums are appreciated. At times, our “ambassadors,” — high-profile friends of Convoy of Hope with exceptional stories and abilities — will accompany our speakers and share in the presentation. A fee may be requested to help cover their expenses.
We encourage our hosts to cover travel expenses whenever possible.
Preferably, events are planned 6 to 12 months in advance. However, we know this is not always possible. Our Speakers Bureau will work with you in coordinating last-minute bookings or replacement speakers in the case of an emergency cancellation.
When the occasional cancellation does occur, it’s generally attributed to something that is out of both Convoy of Hope’s and the speaker’s control, such as a sudden emergency or unforeseen circumstance. We will work with you to find an appropriate replacement in the highly unlikely case that an emergency does arise and a speaker must cancel.
Our speakers are available for a variety of programs, events, consulting and training. Check out their bios and specialty topics. Because of their driving passion to feed the world, Convoy of Hope’s mission will be addressed at every speaking opportunity.
Each speaker will endeavor to accommodate the time requested by the host organization or church.
